Zotac or MSI 1070???

Oni-Chan

Hello

I am currently in the process of buying a new pc but i am not sure what 1070 to get. I was planing on getting a Zotac GeForce GTX 1070 AMP Edition 8192MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card but then i was able to get a little more money and liked the look of the MSI GeForce GTX 1070 GAMING X 8G 8192MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card With them only being a £20 price difference i am not sure if it is worth it. Which one is better or is there a better choice ??

Thanks.

Zotac for sure. Getting it for cheaper is a bargain and I heard that they have pretty good overclocks. So you're probably getting better performance for less.

There really isn't a better choice. Make your decision base of aesthetics and which one you like the most. Zotac might be a little faster but the MSI card could be overclocked to be just as fast if not faster. That really depends on the silicon lottery though.

Would you say i should stick with the 2 fan Zotac or go for the 3 fan one? I should also mention i am pretty new to pc so im not really sure what the difference is.

Thanks

I just got the MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X and its a great card, my daily game that I have been playing is Rainbow Six Siege which is graphically demanding and I can maxx that game out and get above 60fps on 2560x1080(To at least 80-90 fps). Also the clocks go up on mine to about 1924-1940 on the Gaming Mode in the MSI Gaming App at around 50-60C.

Its up to you if you want that higher end of a card and just luck with the silicon lottery.

I have the the 2 fan Zotac (AMP! Edition) in a tiny little case and it's able to stay cool overclocked to 2000MHz.  I highly recommend it!

Thanks for the help i think i will just stick with the 2 fan Zotac as the 5 year warranty is very nice and i have a friend who has one and he says it is doing him very well.
