I dont get it do just plug it in and it will work with any headphones?

or do i have to buy specific ones. 

Also if you can reccomend headphones that cost under 30$ it would be great.

Depending on where you live, you can pick up the Xbox One headset adapter and headset combo for ~$30-50. The headset is nothing special, but for gaming it is decent and it is pretty comfortable.
