No PM notification if it contains banned member?

Im in a PM group that has a member who was banned (by request)

now im not getting notifications from it (at least I assume that is the reason)

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

Which member was in the PM before? It looks like they were deleted rather than banned, but I would like to check.
