550$ Budget PC. If you can make it run any game on high settings I applaud.

Hello, I am new to pc gaming and I posted a topic last night for a 600 dollar budget pc and the prices skyrocketed all the way to 800 when I tried to find the parts on newegg and amazon.I want to be able to play any game and have room to upgrade. Thank you to the people who helped me yesterday, but that isnt a budget I can afford =(.

I might be able to raise the budget to 650, if you can get maybe an i5 in there or something?

Try checking this out, you might want to invest in a better cpu cooler and some decent case fans later on though.

But if you stick with the i3 at $650, you could get an SSD and a bit better GPU.

Yeah, cheaping out on a PSU is never a good idea. I would suggest waiting to raise your budget a bit for more headroom, but the processor and gpu are ready to kick some serious butt as the heart of that build.

Change that RX 480 to an RX 470 and you can save $60 for that better PSU!

Which one of those is better for gaming? Is the i5 worth it or with a better gpu

It depends on if you play CPU intensive games, or GPU intensive games.

Personally I'd take the one with the better GPU.

See my signature, build should do well for your purposes.

Ok I checked out your current gen budget build. How well does it run games? Do you have some examples?

There's a few videos on Youtube if you search for the i3 6100 + RX 480 but they're mostly pretty bad. This one is with a last gen i3 but very similar performance. I'd imagine you'll have no problems with 60fps@1080p.

My friend built the system I linked and he absolutely loves it.

Edit: keep in mind with the 600W power supply you'll be able to do Crossfire later on

LOL at those recommending another PSU, seasonic is god tier PSU reliability. Any single system rig with one cpu/gpu isn't going to pull that much power.
