First ever PC Build. Please have a look :)

Rehan Khan

I request you all to please have a look at the PC and suggest any changes you guys might see fit for my very specific requirements mentioned below. Thanks in advance!

PCPARTPICKER list: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/pFktpb

Budget and location:  750-800 USD, Texas - USA

Aim: Light to moderate video editing (1080p videos max), Stock Market data processing on spreadsheets and etc on all three monitors simultaneously, Programming (MATLAB, Open PCS, etc related to Electrical Engineering) and Gaming.

Monitors: Triple Monitor setup

Peripherals and OS: I have to buy three 1080p monitors. Will be running windows 10. Please don't factor the cost of the OS or monitors into the build.

Additional Information:

  • I still have to buy the OS and three monitors for the build, so the max I can spend on the build will be 750- 800$ on the PC excluding the OS and monitors. Nothing more.
  • I will be connecting the PC to my home Wi-Fi, so that's why I have included the Wi-Fi adapter into the build.
  • I plan on using just one monitor when it comes to gaming on this PC, at 1080p resolution. The three monitors will only be used together for work related stuff.
  • I don't care about aesthetics or matching colors of components or anything of that sort at all. I just want the best performing PC for the price and future-proof to some extent.

Thank-you for having a look you guys. Please suggest any improvements for the same price or lower. Thanks!

Not too bad. You may want to look into different motherboards since this isn't strictly a gaming PC. Maybe an Asus board (I personally prefer their build quality to Gigabyte). You might be able to save a few dollars and get a higher quality board.

Excellent case choice. I just built a computer for my mom an dad with this exact case a couple of months ago. Couldn't have been happier.

that case is pretty old, maybe go for an s340 and the NEX supernova psu's are horrible, i would recommend a 650gq or a nice g2 psu for a bit more if you dont want coil whine and loud fans

@MisterMK3 I changed the motherboard, and since I am planning to use Wi-Fi, I chose this particular motherboard and removed the Wi-Fi adapter present above in my original list. What do you think? http://pcpartpicker.com/list/hWkMcc

@Gokufighther Thanks for your input, but I am keeping the same case, but did update the power supply from the original build. Here is my updated build. What do you think? http://pcpartpicker.com/list/hWkMcc
