Why is this happening?

I have tiried 3 separate flash drives plugged into my define r4 and all of them work in 3 of the ports. but in the 4th port, the one most to the right a notification pops up saying the USB device malfunctioned, but other devices work fine. any suggestions?

 Check the usb header in your motherboard. Would you happen to be using a gigabyte board? I've always had weird usb issues with their boards.

the header on both sides is fine and I am using an ASUS board

oh, nope all the drives operate normally in other ports.

Send the case back for a exchange. Contact the place where you got it from.

At this point IDK if it is case or board, if it is case it would end up costing more to ship than what it is worth to have it work

Call them up and say the case you got is defective and have them pay for shipping.

I have a lot of problems here though. the port used to work and I would have to put my PC somewhere else for a while while my case is away. I actually think it may be the board, but further investigation is necessary.
