It's a HEC design that has comparable quality with the old green Corsair CXs. Wouldn't pair it with anything above a GTX 960 or do any overclocking.

It's a rating, not a series. Do you even have a computer? I'm asking because you're excusing facts in favor of higher numbers and bigger price tags

Blue screens eh? Did you try setting it to Wumbo?

It's funny how you will STILL will not learn that its a SERIES called EVGA BRONZE,you know why you never seen titanium psu's?

Spoiler

Maybe because every single PSU from series is bronze rating and is from the bronze series? think first and do research before you talk to me what is and what is not

The EVGA B1 is the EVGA 500 "Bronze series." They're not under the Supernova branding so the ones that are not under the Supernova branding are simple confined to their "given 80 PLUS rating here" series.

I tire of this argument, the bronze you're talking about is simply a branding, not a series, it simply matches up with its 80 plus rating in order to make it easier for the consumer to understand what they're buying. Check out Linus's video on 80 plus ratings. I'll be looking for EVGA Bronze series for their 1000 watt tier PSU, I don't like how they only have that in the Platinum series. Hint hint

OK, I wrote the 80 PLUS rating article pinned on this subforum, it's in my signature. It's sold under the "B' branding. I'm well aware that it is rated for the 80 PLUS bronze standard.

For a 260 that EVGA is fine,

he will be upgrading the GPU but probably not for a month or two. but he wants to OC the CPU, is it good for that?

What will the GPU be? If it's more power hungry than a GTX 1060/960 then I would get a Seasonic S12 for a bit more.
