buying a cheap skateboard on ebay?

Kingcomicbook

I want to buy a skateboard. I went to a skate shop near my house and the cheapest board they had was around $140. That is way out of my budget. I found a good looking board on ebay for around $20. The seller has 99% customer satisfaction. There have been 62 sold and 15 people watching. Should I go for it?

CCS used to be my go to when I was growing up. It was fairly affordable, and believe it or not we did the shopping in things called cat-a-logs. Ha, ha ha ha, shit I'm old. Anyway they've joined the 21st century. https://shop.ccs.com/skateboards/skateboard-decks

You've got to do what you can with your price range, but from personal experience cheaper decks have more flex in them. Not the best thing when I was a fat kid trying to kick flip in front of my house. My skate empire is build on a mountain of broken Birdhouse boards.

Buying online will be cheaper than a brick and mortar store. What's your budget? Set the budget and then see what boards can afford. However, paying a little more upfront will probably get you a board that'll last longer and perform better. For instance, buying one $80 board would be better than buying several cheaper boards that keep breaking and don't perform well. Also, after you have a budget, it couldn't hurt to visit the skate shop and tell them that you're just getting started and see if they can hook you up. Maybe they could order you a cheaper board of even hook you up with display model that is no longer in pristine condition.
