Which cooler design for a GTX1070?

Samppa221

Which cooler design should i choose the pricing is shiiiit here.

Gigabyte G1: 499€

Asus Strix: 580€

EVGA FTW: 579€

PNY Founders: 479€

MSI Gaming X: 549€

I really like the FTW because it has 2x 8pin and nice looks but is it worth the 100€ difference to the founders? The G1 is cheap compared to the other custom cooled ones but it only has a single 8pin so am i limited in overclocking somehow and it doesn't look that nice with the orange accents. The MSI one has a 8+6pin setup. Is the founders one loud and doesnt overclock well cause i really like the looks of the founders cooler. The Strix one is just expensive and still has a single 8pin so probably not that if i cant get a good deal. Im going to a big lanparty next thursday here in Finland so there will be some deals (last time only amd cards so i hope this time nvidia).

Just now, Electronics Wizardy said:

Id personally get the cheapest one. The extra power connectors won't make a difference.

Cheapest of the custom ones or the founder?

Additional pins don't matter we are limited by vbios don't listen to anyone who says otherwise. FTW is definitely not worth 100 more letter e's. Founders seems to be the warmest and loudest 1070 and 1080.

I've chosen the G1 though.

But that's also one of the cheapest in my country.

How much does the Palit Gamerock cost?

It's pretty much THE best design.

Only 60-62°C in Tests, and Fan speed was only at 1000-1100 rpm, which is basicly silent.

The Asus Strix costs much more, but the Noise is around 80% higher, at a similar Temperature.

So i would go either for Palit Gamerock (Jetstream is identical, but has NOT the Memory chips cooled. The cooler itself seems to be identical tho), or the Zotac AMP (Because 5 Years warranty)
