Be Quiet or Corsair?

Busconian

Upgrading my system to an i5 6500 and 1060 and my current PSU is not great..... I got 2 options but does not matter too much, both should work fine.

Be Quiet!: http://www.ncix.com/detail/be-quiet-pure-power-9-66-130555.htm

Corsair: http://www.ncix.com/detail/corsair-cx-series-cx550m-550w-5e-125718.htm

Be quiet has a better rating and more watts but is it worth the $10 extra bucks? My guess it would be worth it, good or bad experiences with anyone?

Thanks. (Feel free to suggest others $100 CAD limit)

Go for the EVGA Supernova G2 650 or something like that. The supernova line G/B/P/T 2 line from EVGA are rebranded superflower PSUs which are regarded as the best in the business by some. They should be cheaper than corsair as well :)

Powerhouse: i7 5960X, RVE, 64GB 2400Mhz DDR4, GTX 1080ti SLI, Intel 750 400GB boot, 850 EVO 1tb storage, AX1500i

proto-Powerhouse: i7 3930K, RIVE, 32GB 2133 DDR3, GTX 980ti SLI, 850 EVO 1tb boot, barracuda 4 tb storage, HX850i  ded RIP

Work in progress: Powerzen: R7 1700, X370 Taichi, 32GB, gtx 1050ti (temporary), 850 evo 1tb, Hx 850i

Unraid NAS Server: i7 5820k, X99E-mitx, 32GB 2133 DDR4, THE MIGHTY GT 710 (WITH GOLD PLATED HDMI!!!!!), 3x 10 tb drives, 250 gb ssd cache, Antec 550W PSU, Node 304

http://www.ncix.com/detail/evga-supernova-650-g1-650w-34-97305.htm This is gold rated and full modular, which is really nice. It is a bit more expensive which kinda hurts my budget. Considering for sure! Going to read up on it.

not the G1 mate, the G2 something like this:

As a rule of thumb, you might want to overspend a little on your PSU as it pretty much supplies your entire system. But the trigger is yours to pull ;)

I have heard good things about all the choices I got. Maybe if I got the extra cash I might go for that one who knows.....

The G1 is very poor value. The GQ and GS are better if the G1 is more in your price range.

|PSU Tier List /80 Plus Efficiency| PSU stuff if you need it.

My system: PCPartPicker || For Corsair support tag @Corsair Josephor @Corsair Nick || My 5MT Legacy GT Wagon ||
