Did I make a mistake in putting in a 980 Ti for my client?

And that's with the 980ti not overclocked. Stop spreading lies Don. You know that once the 980ti is overclocked it overtakes the Fury X.

That's on auto - aka with a decent clock bump. Stop bullshitting me and pretending GPU Boost doesn't exist :)

And where do reference 980ti's boost to, Don? 1500MHz like where I run Doom? Or in the 1200MHz range? I get it, you like AMD. But stick to the truth, please.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

1243MHz is what I see most reference models boosting to from a quick google search. Let's also not forget yours is under water :) - most AF ones are at 1400 form the looks of it

I run a reference board though, a 980ti meant for overclocking flat out walk away from mine, check out what the AMP! Extremes are doing on air. But nether the Fury X nor the 980ti will be much after 2 years. Especially with Volta and AMD's offerings having come out. Developers won't hold back just to protect old hardware.

And I present exhibit A.

Nothing is safe right now. Industry is moving too fast for that.

If anyone asks you never saw me.
