help with unknown motherboard

Go to solution Solved by NumLock21,

Most likely a board made specifically for a certain OEM.

It can be anyone of the known brands like MSI, Gigabyte, Foxconn, Asus, or Biostar.

Hi guys its me satoushi again from the philippines apparantely my haswell motherboard burned out and I need a quick replacement.

now I got my replacement from a korean surplus store (e.g like free geek) and i got an 1150 haswell motherboard for half the price it looks good blue pcb got and hdmi dvi and vga and usb 3.0 ports but the thing is i cant seem to find the motherboards manufacturer page. i tried using CPU z and speccy to identify the motherboard and it comes up "PCPartner MILANO-P" with AMI bios v1.03 10/25/2013 and i am currently experiencing problems when restarting, my system will undergo restarting procedure then will say windows shutting down/restaring then boom no signal on my monitor but my system is still on and its not booting up, i need to press the on and off button to boot up again, tried loading default and reseating rams, tried clearing out the bios still the same.

Currently using G1840 celrong with 2 sticks of 2gb ddr3 12800U/1600mhz of ram and the mother board PCpartner MILANO-P

i spent hours trying to find any sort of bios update for the motherboard thinking that since its a 2014 haswell cpu and the motherboards bios is 2013 it doesnt match up and it messes up the boot process

please correct me if im wrong or give me some info on where to get a bios update and do it from there

i tried bios agent plus and its kinda misleading since you need to pay first before you get the file so i ditch it out need answers or suggestions from you guys

thanks for the reply guys @ModuleLFS i cant read them too.. @NumLock21 so it could be the known brands, the pcb is blue so it might be a Gigabyte or a foxconn

intel chipset h81 and the AMI bios is v1.03 so is it safe to apply a foxconn/gigabyte with h81 chipset and using the same bios version?

Best not to do that, it might looks the same, but there are certain parts that aren't and updating the bios might destroy it.

Take a HD photo of the board. Remove gpu so it's easier to see the markings on it.
