Severe problem with my Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Go to solution Solved by iDeFecZx,

My S6 does, but like I said, to use it, I need to unlock my phone. Either by PIN or fingerprint.

This is the second time it had happened, my phone calling 911 on its own. I keep on getting calls from this private number but this was the first time I had answered it. She asked me if I had a emergency and that I had to tell her or she would send the police. I told her I didn't have any emergencies and my phone is calling 911 on its own. Finally after about ten minutes she gave up and believed that we had no emergencies. I later looked in my call log to find that my phone has called 911. At that time that my phone called i was running around.

Get a flip case. It looks like you're accidently waking up your phone and activating the emergency call function. Done that several times with my Xperia SP before switching to Cynanogenmod

If you don't want a flip case, some people are suggesting you use a custom lockscreen such as magic locker so the emergency button isn't on the lockscreen.

Sounds like a tremendous design flaw to me.

I edit my posts a lot.

Is there any way I can avoid a case I don't like using cases because they create a inconvenience.(making my phone hard to put in my pocket)

The problem I always had with custom lockscreens is that they don't integrate seamlessly. Sometimes you would wake up the phone, you'll see where you left off, then the lock screen appears a second later.

Well I was in the washroom and I kept hearing someone saying "Hello" when my phone is in my pocket. Then I got a call from emergency dispatchers.

Ive never had a problem with it being on the lock screen. Both my S4 and current S6 you had to actually swipe the button AND unlock the phone to use it.

OP do you use any form of lock on your phone at all?

I have a question, does Android marshmallow have the emergency call button on the lockscreen? If not I can upgrade to a new phone.

My moto G running marshmallow has emergency dialer on the lockscreen, but you need to type a number to call anything.
