Why does it need to be dead silent? Just curious.

No that silent but not that loud as on air - imagine working all day (or night) long next to it for years. There is nothing worse than a source of loud noise when working.

Hopefully you have a well ventilated room for the pc as it will be silent, but the amount of heat produced while rendering will be uncomfortable to be around it.

That's right - a room must be very well ventilated or AC. 1350W of continuous power draw must go somewhere
