http://pcpartpicker.com/product/gk648d/intel-cpu-bx80662i3630How to decide  2 core cpu vs quard core cpu for a gaming pc Buld that is in 600$ price range

For 600$ you can fit in an i5 6400 and an rx 480 so there is no reason to go for an i3 6300.

Replace that r9 380x with this : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150771&cm_re=rx_480-_-14-150-771-_-Product (whenever it is in stock)
Also I would not get a dual quad core server. Performance would be worse in most titles than the i5 and also it isn't that practical. Not to mention that you can't even overclock the xeon's and they are clocked at only 2.5 ghz which is very low.

I would be decent but not the best. If you're looking a system that stands out, sure. But the i5 is based on a much newer architecture so you will see performance gains over the E5420 despite having 8 cores.

You could get something like this : Also for a budget build I replaced the ssd with an hdd since you get much more storage for less. In the future however a decent upgrade would be to put in an ssd to make the system more responsive.

Well yours does have better high quality parts but obviously it is more expensive and is a bit out of your 600$ budget. It is quite good ,however since you are only going to be gaming and have a budget you can get 8gb of ram to save a bit of money.
