WIll this slow down my internet?

AlanAlan

Range extenders can limit bandwidth (when you're connected to them), yes. How much really depends on how to network is setup. An access point that is hardwired into the network is generally a better option if possible.

Range extenders can't exclusively "slow" down your internet. Although like what @Oshino Shinobu said, bandwidth will likely be more limited if you choose to connect to the range extender vs the bandwidth your router can provide. Although the real question is what will you be planning to use this for? If you are just connecting one device you may want to consider using a powerline adapter instead.

Connecting phones and computers through wifi.
