I wonder why Gabe would let this take so long... but I will be happy if it's not a Duke Nukem repeat.

WHAT!?!?!?! You haven't played Half-life or Half-life 2?!?!?! You must play them immediately! Sorry for the exclamation points, but they really are amazing. Play black mesa if you want half-life with modernish graphics.

Don't get to excited. Finished Black Mesa and HL2 these past 2 weeks and while they are good games my god are they over hyped.

 

I could care less. If it gets made nice, another game for a good series. But I want this to be made for the same reason that I want Marijuana to be legalized so people shut the hell up. It's so annoying seeing all this HalfLife3 confirmed posts.

What I don't get is why people keep comparing HL3 to DNF. DNF was announced, then it took 12 years. HL3 has never been announced ;)

 

If history repeats itself, HL3 won't have as good graphics as what the guys at CryTek delivers, but the gameplay will be epic!

Well thats how i felt about gta V and while i was right in a way valve is on a whole nother level with their company then rockstar is so if they put their heart and soul into this then they can do it

Rockstar (and Kojima Productions) are probably the only guys I would mention in the same breath as Valve :P

Rockstar, The only company that can fuck over PC gamers with a horrible port of GTA4 and absolutely no mention of a PC version for 5 yet PC gamers still adore them for some reason.

But seriously, I didn't really notice anything particularly bad about GTA IV for PC, well, apart for the MS-overlay (games for windows - live, or whatever it's called).

And they've always waited silently for a little while before releasing GTA for PC. And speaking of no mention of games for PC, Valve is yet to mention HL3 :P

Never played half life... I probably will now though :). I'd still be more excited if all Halo games came to pc though.

But its already been shown the game was MADE for the PC, aka it's already done, they are just milking the console versions for as much as they are worth right now.

Honest mistake ;-) But after the way they messed up Hitman Absolution, I'm not too sure what to feel about them :-P

You realize that gta 4 was horribly optimized and looked like crap right?

It never bothered me ;-) GTA has always had sub-par graphics ever since the first one though, so that's to be expected
