I thought U.S. Monopoly laws only really pertained to essential items. Like power, water, telephone and cell service, and possibly television service.

 

Microsoft squeezed out of a antitrust case in 1994 regarding windows OS. Nvidia is a drop in the bucket compared to Microsoft.

 

As said the majority of computers shipped have on board graphics. It's really a non discussion. This would only effect high end pc builders, a very small section of computers.

 

nvidia would just be the only choice for the high end stuff.

AMD (and Nvidia apparently?!) sell memory, they do not make memory. It has an AMD sticker on it, but that does not mean it rolled out of an AMD factory. In fact, you can clearly see a "Built by Patriot" logo on it. And to be honest I don't think Patriot manufactures memory chips, either.
