Replacing AIO Tubing and using Old AIO Parts

Hi Guys,

Just joined the Forum and decided to create a topic showing an AIO Tube replacement and using multiple old AIO Parts,

I used the CPU block from a Seidon 240m, The 120mm Radiator from a Antec H20 Kuhler 650, Orange XSPC UV Tubing and a £12 Res/Pump from Ebay.

I would not recommend using this in a system properly this was done for fun.

I Repeat :

THIS WAS DONE FOR FUN,

I realize it might :

Leak, Explode, Kill PC, Kill all Life, End the World, End the Universe.

So please try to refrain from killing me :( its only my second post !

With that being said here it is :

i like the idea of doing this. altho i have one question. is it bad for eather of the pumps (cpu block one and the costum one) having them both running?
im just imagening they would work agenst eachother if there speeds warry.

looks good!  always nice to see people re purposing parts for the fun of it!  You could always get another block/rad/pump, or upgrade the rad, maybe the pump and strap up the GPU too!  That is, if you're like me and can never stop xD

Thumbs up on the bravery though!  Who knows, it might go a long time without an issue

Thank you dude, I will keep you all posted 100% i did have a 240 Rad but it got dented pretty badly :( I think I will eventually replace all the parts and use this loop for a media center or something. I did have the Seidon 240m Rad but it got dented and the fins are like smashed to hell :(

Was fun using the old "dead" parts though, Its my first ever loop and i have no idea what pushed me to have my first ever loop be a silly one made from Recyled AIO Coolers. :$

Quick update,

Ran AIDA64 for 3.09 Hours

4790k at 4.4 Ghz all cores.

Here are the results :

Further update,

Still working perfectly not an issue at all across the board,

Things worth of note however

  1. Do i have my pump running to high ? I get a lot of bubbles at the beginning then they dissipate.
  2. Why is my 4790k such a bad overclocker ? :(

Will be installing a new GPU at the end of this month and may eventually expand this to have the GPU part of the loop(will add another radiator or replace the one currently in).

Further update

Nice! As far as the bubbles go, can you fill the res any more to displace air? Or are they coming from somewhere else like the rad?

As far as the 4790k oc, how does it do? Mine does 4.8ghz at 1.275v which I feel is pretty good.  5.0 takes 1.42 though.

Thanks for the update, glad it's doing well

My 4790k dies on AIDA 64 with 4.6 at 1.28v lol. Just bad lottery luck i guess.

Actually moved house and transported the system without issue. Really expected a leak of some sort but it survived. I might remove it when adding my new GPU however.

Slight update, Still running fine, have now moved the radiator and secure the pump on a hard drive plate, Is now in Push Pull config and seems to help temps slightly. Will do a proper AIDA64 run soon. But it does at least look cleaner :)

Dat bend thou.... even if it isn't quite as bad as it looks, will probably hurt your flow a decent amount. Other than that it looks dope!

I think i will be replacing the whole loop at the end of the month. It was 100% fun whilst it lasted though.

Ran Aida64 for a couple of hours, saw temps a few degrees lower but nothing to write home about.

Think im going to get a Fractal Kelvin T12 and replace the tubing.

So Final Update :

I have bought a GPU block and will be doing a full "proper" loop.
This was a lot of fun and i'm glad i did it but last night i finally took it out :(

Thanks for all the help @0ld_Chicken !! (will probs need more help with the next bit !)

The below build is what i aim to move to as doing a full expensive loop is well out of the question right now :(
