Didn't we get the Elite already?

Ya, but this is a small revision to the regular controller it's now white and they added Bluetooth for easier pc connectivity

For those saying we already have this - yes. With the WIFI Dongle. The original XBO Wireless Controller uses a proprietary wireless protocol. The new one uses Bluetooth. I might pick one of these up! I wonder how gaming on my phone would be with one of these... Plus getting a BT module for my computer is easy enough.

Incorrect, this is not limited to Windows 10. I f the device has Bluetooth it is more than likely compatible.

The Xbox Elite controller's software is Windows 10 only. If you want to remap keys you can only do it on Win 10, so in effect it's worthless on Win 8.1 or 7 because that's the whole point of it. I wanted one for Rocket League but the paddles on the back couldn't be used for anything useful, so it'd just be like any other controller.

You could probably use the basic functionality of this on win 8.1, but with none of the control over its functions, so why buy that controller specifically?
