Any idea how I could get this in my case?

OfficialJsP

So I have this old GPU that I want to put in my 2nd PC but it has a low profile bracket and doesn't fit in my case so does anyone have any ideas on how I could get it to fit in the case without buying a new braket because they cost £5 plus another £10 for postage.

Bend the metal screw part up so you can still slide it in, then possibly tape it or leave it how it is and be careful not to bump it out.

what other option do you think you have? you could remove the low profile bracket entirely, but still run the change of it coming out of the pci slot.

other than that you either make something or buy something.  possibly if you ahve another card that has the regular bracket you can see if you can switch  them I have done this with NIC's in the past but sometimes the screw holes dont line up .

ok... to put this simple, there's 4 basic solutions:

1- remove the metal bracket

2- bend the protruding part of the bracket

3- cut the protroding part of the bracket

or...

4- just buy the tall bracket...

One more, but this one is not a simple one, i wouldn't do it:

5- use a existing solid bracket, and drill the holes that you need to make it fit...

Easy way of: Just let it wobble around, also if the integrated graphics aren't the quality those of a 6700 or 4790k, I wouldn't put a card like that in.

You're putting this ugly POS in your case and you're worried about it looking scruffy? LOL. :D
