How to add more fans

TheMidnightNarwhal

Hello

I currently have 2x80mm fans connected in 2 chasis fan headers and one 140mm connected the same way. 2x120mm rad fan y splitted into the CPU fan connector that cant't read. I'm looking at getting a air 240 and that will add the total ammount of fans to 7. So what can I do to add all these fans and be able to control them? If possible.

Get a fan controller. I have one for $2 off of ebay and it works great

Fan hub or controller? Controllers are in 5.25 bay and I don't have one.

Get a 6 or 8 way fan splitter cable and controller them all with the cou fan header slot. Much easier and cheaper.

I have a PWM fan splitter and got my 2 rad fans connected to it. The other side is into my CPU fan header and using fan Xpert 2 It doesn't see the fan speed and I can't even control it.

you have 3.5 inch drive bays? you can get 3.5 inch fan controllers. HDE has one I've used in the past.

or get a powered fan splitter.

your CPU fan header probably only supports PWM rather than 3 pin

Silverstone FT-05: 8 Broadwell Xeon (6900k soon), Asus X99 A, Asus GTX 1070, 1tb Samsung 850 pro, NH-D15

Resist!

Get a fan controwler that uses 3.5 inch bays in the front of case you can get ones that take up 2bays and support 10 fans

Fan hub sorry, but if it is a 4 pin hub you can control it via the motherboard
