HB SLI Bridge on Older Cards

With all this talk of improvements due to the new HB SLI bridges on 1080s, I wonder about older cards.

 

You guys think that HB SLI bridges will be compatible with older Geforce cards (Titan X, 980, 780 ti, etc.)? Will they offer any improvements to SLI on older cards?

Probably will work, but no benifit. Its a hardware level thing.
