Looking for a CPU under $200 for a X99 mobo

Hey guys, so I have 2x X99 motherboards just lying around since I got them for free, one with one broken PCIe Lane, the other still 100% they're the Asus Deluxe and the Rampage V and I'm looking to buy a cheap CPU for one of them, the problem is that shipping to South Africa is hella expensive aside from a few key places so I was wondering if anyone could find anything better than a Xeon E-5 2658 v3

also I already have 32 GB of 3200 MHz ram on the Rampage V I got with the motherboard.

How about you sell one of the boards and then use the Money + your $200 for a decent CPU like the 5820k?

There isn't a CPU under that price tag. The lower "i7" the 5820K is going for $370-400. Unless you find one which really cheap. Which is highly unlikely.

Wouldn't recommend it, though. It's fairly weak, even when comparing it to higher-end LGA 1150 and 1151 CPUs.

the problem is selling the darn thing second hand in South Africa demolishes the pricetag. I'd be lucky to get $ 200 for one of them, I'd rather keep them and either buy some of these xeons, maybe later upgrade to an i7 or just save for an i7. it's more of a second pc thing than a main rig situation

yup, but they have 40 pci-e lanes, they're probably used for pci-e ssd servers

because it's an engineering sample, they are dirt cheap, you can get 4000$ retail processors for under 1000$ on ebay as an ES

I've searched and couldn't really find a cheap one, 4820k yeah sure, but it's not compatible..

I don't care about new or secondhand Engineering samples are fine by me, I was just hoping to find something with a little extra juice than the E5 2658 I found.

rip, well then the cpu you linked would be the best option, but if you're going to be gaming i'd get a higher frequency 6 or 4 core

well my plan is more to let others do light gaming from VM's running from the machine. I mean like 2 or 3 people playing CSGO shouldn't be too hard for the 2658 should it?

yep, and that cpu can easily run csgo on 6 diffrent vms at once assuming you have the gpus

yea no that's what I assumed, however the problem is I only have one underclocked GTX 980 that does a little artifacting ( damaged Vram)

you need 1 gpu per vm if you want to run games

I've played CS source on multiple VMs with one GPU though. but that was a 680

I'll have to go back to my guides I saved on my home pc for that, last time I did anything to do with VM's was in 2012/early 2013

I only remember playing CS Source and Borderlands 2 this way from my i5 2500k back then. Borderlands got a little choppy sometimes though.
