Nobody knows...

At worst, it'll be R9 390/GTX 970 performance. Current rumours put it in the GTX 980 range.

It will perform the same as an RX 480, unless overclocked. Purely speculation at this point on my part.

From what I have heard, I am really interested in getting 2 8GB RX480Xs. 2 of these for under 500 supposedly outperforms a GTX 1080. I have been waiting months for the GTX 1070, but I might just pick up a couple 480s now.

Also, a big factor is the price of AMD free sync monitors. They are almost always cheaper than nvidia g sync monitors, from what I have heard.

Cant wait to hear more about the rest of the next gen AMD GPU line up.

I hope so too buddy. Pushing the standard for affordable graphics cards is nothing but a big win for most consumers. If AMD nail it, good things will follow for them.

Likewise with NVIDIA if they manage to offer the same. Or an even better price/performance for their GTX 1060 (or whatever card is competing with the RX 480).

If what AMD claims is true (2x 480 outperforming a 1080), that would place at 980 performance.

A 980 at $200

No founders edition bullshit

I cry if that happens. Spent over 400$ CAN for my r9 390, if I can get better for 300$ CAN...

I'm expecting around 980 level of performance, would still be a good deal if it performed like a 290.

then a year later, the 580 costing $150 is twice as powerful as your new 480...it doesn't matter, there's always going to be better and cheaper products :/

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Nvidia have a bigger fanbase and they know that their cards will sell better than amd.

That's why they still like to sell their products with these price points :/

But amd still have time to change some things...

All the other RX 480 leaks and rumours released around the time this one was proved to be true, so I'm suspecting this leaked benchmark is also likely to be accurate:

The Polaris 67DF:C7 is the RX 480.

AMD-Radeon-R9-480-3DMark11-Performance.p

Keep in mind that the RX 480 drivers probably were not perfect at the time of this benchmark, if it is genuine.

No, the 67DF:C7 is the RX 480, which costs $200 / $229, depending on 4 GB / 8 GB.
