First build (very tight budget)

Looks pretty respectable. I would only say change out that power supply to something from, like, Corsair or EVGA for a few bucks extra. I've never heard of Raidmax and therefore wouldn't trust them.

I figure you know people will say this, but if it's at all possible, PLEASE wait until you have at least $400 or $500 unless you need the computer right now. You will be so much happier with the result.

Thanks for the quick reply! Just what I was hoping for. I did expect that of the PSU but the other, albeit cheaper, option was a Logisys but that looked like it would explode on idle. What I was think was, I'm going to start barebones with the APU and slow begin upgrading. Like for example my first upgrade might be a discrete GPU in tandem with the less powerful iGPU.

:P It's mostly when people take high end systems (like i7s and 980Tis) and power them with a CX600 which has really shitty internal components which'll start throttling at 30 deg C. You should be fine though :D

All I am running is a 4690k and a 960 so I should be fine lol

Both PSUs are bad...just spend $20 more for a good PSU pls...even a cx430/evga 430w 80+ white would be better than those two (and that's really hard to say as those two are already extremely craptastic)

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Thats a good idea, being open to upgrades is important if you're building something low-end now. And as someone else in the thread said, Seasonic would be a better choice for a cheap PSU. And if you buy a discrete GPU you would want to upgrade it anyways.

Should have a good enough PSU to allow for upgrades. Dual channel RAM at 1866 will help with the APU.

*Should* If you're planning on a GPU upgrade anytime soon, you should upgrade the PSU with it :P

I probably am going to get the 8Gb RX 480 when it comes out, and seeing as that has a 150w TDP I am probably going to get a 600W EVGA PSU

Tbh I'd recommend this over that:

Better internal component quality and enough wattage to run the entire system with ease :)

Do you have any recommendations for a fully modular PSU? I am thinking that is something that I will want to do.
