Sorry :) I had a very long day yesterday so I was tired and I did not want to try to find the parts on pcpartpicker. So... would it work? lol

Yes it will work, very popular configuration.

Why build one and just buy a used server like a hp 380 g6 storage server and for half the cost. I have a few and its a great thing for me. =3

HP 380 G6 isn't really a comparable system, the power usage will be much greater, louder and bulkier.

OP, the system configuration you have listed isn't great if you actually care about data integrity. Just to name but a few, the board doesn't support ECC memory, the amount of memory you need is half of the minimum recommended 8gb of RAM you need to actually run ZFS, 2 harddrives in RAID 1 will be slow, more drives in RAIDZ2 (or even RAIDZ1 if not critical) would be more beneficial.

Thanks! I'll take note of that.

Well, technically. But I don't know as you haven't listed any real parts.

Click on the part and it will expand to show a custom link to the actual part listing. @I'mhere would have been better to include the product model rather than just showing Intel processor as that is about as generic as you can get.

Ah, good spot. I don't like having to hunt around for the information to assist other people, if they want the answers they should make it as easy to get to as possible :P
