Best macro key uses?

My blackwidow has 5 macro keys that I dont use.. YET! 

What should I use them for? What do you guys use them for?

Umm league of legends keys or something

Copy? Paste? Undo? Redo? Sleep key (make it a macro along with shift or control so you dont accidentally hit it)

Apart from those two which.... Are useful... I like having a control+click and copy paste macro's. That sort of thing

I use mine for web browsing. Youtube. Linustechtips.com. etc.

I've bound them to the f keys that aren't normally on keyboards nowadays (F13 - F24)

Then you can use autohotkey to do anything like multiple left clicks when a key is held down

**useful for cookie clicker, 24 clicks/sec

 

You can use them to:

- Raise or lower the volume

- Enable/Disable hidden folders

- Magnify things

- Draw mouse gestures

- Minimize/Maximize certain windows

- Launch programs, like command prompt, notepad, paint

- Insert special characters you may use often

- Turn off the monitor and lock the pc with one click

- Shorten URL's

I have a macro of "Shift Tab + Alt Tab"   all in one button for steam.   Makes it very quick and easy to get in and out.

I use mine to start up my game (blackshot or LoL), enter my id and password and start the game. I also use it to auto press buttons cause im a bad boy like that.

If you dont know a need for them you prob dont need them... If there are games you play you miss a key combination that could have been easier with 1 key you could use a macro...

 

For example I used to play Counter Strike back in the day and a macro would be good to record the start buy of your weapons.. It was B  (buy) 2 (pistols) 5 (desert eagle) for example... That you could record to 1 macro. So that would make you faster and start running sooner... But so many things can be done with a macro key!

Something you type often? in bf3 for example you could bind some to open the teamchat and type "!f" or "!p" or "sry"

 

EDIT: reading thru this thread makes me want a kb with makros again..darn it
