I plan on buying the 1080 right at luanch but I can't figure out waht time that it will be released at. I plan to buy off Newegg. Does anyone know the time when sales open?

Don't buy a reference (founders) edition.

He wants the TIME (hours) not DATE (day) of the release and thats soemthing hard to google if even possible.

I'd wait to get a third party.

Nvidia runs off west coast time out of California.

why should you not buy the fanboy edition? Because I was gonna go to microcenter tomorrow when it opens to buy one and all I see on the website is 6 1080. all FE.

There have been a few reports of them overheating/throttling.

And is there a reason why every where I check I can only buy the fanboy edition? I thought there was a $600 generic one coming out at the same time but all the links NVidia site posted only show fe.

Just wait for the board partners to release their versions. Jayztwocents already teased the new EVGA GTX 1080 ACX 3.0 on twitter.
