I hear people saying all the time that Window's pointer options should be left at 6/11 (default) to stop any data being lost from the mouse but doesn't this also apply to when you change the in-game sensitivity of the game itself to anything other than 1? What is the reasoning? Surely, you'd also lose data from the game engine if it's set to anything other than 1..

I don't like 2D games...I just couldn't get into them.. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

acceleration is a separate option in the settings

its a box you check

it has nothing to do with the pointer speed

sorry yes thats "Enhance pointer precision" in the same pointer speed section, if you want the most accurate experience 6/11 (so windows doesn't touch the speed) "Enhance pointer precision" = OFF and adjust DPI/CPI using the mouse software or on the mouse itself.
