Nvidia 1080 Hype train countdown

Fuck, i really thought i shouldn't make this thread, but fuck it. The New Nvidia Gpus benchmarks come out tomorrow and ive never been so hyped for a new line of cards, whos channels benchmarks do you plan to watch first? Tbh Im waiting on hardwarecanucks but im probably gonna watch whoever releases it first. If you guys dont like this thread then ill request for it to be deleted. Otherwise 1080 hype train.

They don't necessarily come out tomorrow, but the embargo ends, meaning tomorrow is the first day where reviews are allowed to be posted.

Exactly. I, for one, am waiting for DF and TTL to review the new cards. Most youtubers are, well, untrustworthy at this point in time.

I doubt they'll have to rush anything, they have had the card for nine days now. I imagine Nvidia made the NDA last ten days so that none of the review sites would feel they have to rush to get their articles and videos out by tomorrow. I imagine all three will have some thorough testing to report. I can't wait to see the video from @LinusTech.

Oh I meant like rush to get the video out first  Cuase I know LTT has a longer production process some times for certain videos, but they probably will had pre-prepared the video for the day of deadline cause it's an urgent video  I can't wait!

I feel like a bunch of youtbers have it all processed and have it set to be uploaded at a certain time, seems like the smartest thing. Or just have the Video privated to get it out as soon as possible.

I don't mind waiting for a video as long as it's objective. That is precisely why I follow Digital Foundry and TinyTomLogan. Cause LTT are so big now that Linus is fine with skewing results slightly to avoid backlash from his 12-year-old followers (no offense to anyone)

I'd be inclined to agree. I think Paul from Paul's Hardware is the most down-to-earth and trustworthy of them, or maybe HardwareCanucks.

Paul is fine, have no idea about HC. Linus, however, is downright fishy.

hmm, that is a possibility. But i doubt linus will skew his results. i think the backlash from people like us will be just as bad, if not worse. Or it could be that nvidia wasnt lying and the 1080 is actually good. We shall see.
