I searched also for the crysis series... they are not compatible with windows 10... any mods allowing it?

Hate to pile it on, but have to agree with the grindfest.  If you don't want to spend cash you better be prepared (Although the game does have one of the better premium models, the only things you can't earn through the game are aesthetics).

 

In all seriousness though, before I went and min-maxed practically all I could, the game was a lot of fun.  It starts turning into a grind spree when you realize there's something you want with a 2% drop chance that only rolls once every twenty minutes.  Then you end up with millions of unused resources, a ton of garbage no one wants except for an NPC that has a completely random shop that shows up once every two weeks, and too cynical to actually play any matches public as you just rather not deal with them.

 

Sadly, they seem to be straying away from the "You are as overpowered as you can make yourself be" play model which is a bit of a turn off for me.  I understand some people wanting to normalize damage values but overall I enjoy the game for the ridiculousness.

 

EDIT: Also, I'd like to point out that this is the only game to keep my interest for anywhere near as long as it has.  The only thing comparable was UT2000 GOTY back when I was six but wasn't using anything to log playtime.

I'm not sure how this will help anyone pick a game they would like.. But since you asked, the ten best I've played in the last few years in no particular order: The Witcher 3, Dark Souls 3, Sunless Sea, Alien Isolation, Metro Redux, XCOM 2, SOMA, Metal Gear Solid V, Endless Legend, Cities: Skylines.
