980ti now, wait for 1080 or wait 980ti price drops?

so I woke up this morning to the 10 series cards.

I just recently ordered my new pc build recently and most of the components arrived here yesterday including my asus 980ti oc.

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/9yjQjX

my card is unopened and I don't know if I should return it and wait and get a 1080 or for 980ti price drops.

I could of course just keep it too.

any suggestions?

(also I'm currently running of a laptop with a 640m which I gather is better than the 6700k's integrated gpu, so would be staying on that until I get my card.)

Assuming what i heard is correct, the 1090 is between $400 and $499. And the 980ti is roughly $630. And the 1080 is faster than both a 980ti in SLI and the titan X. SO yes. return it, wait until it comes out at computex, and snag them beasts

Do you even fanboy bro?

I'd return it and get the 1080.. same price for twice the performance.

Wait until AMD release to see what both sides offer

The SLI claim is not regarding VR.

Of course you didn't, it's in NVIDIA's favour.

Calm down...

To explain the facts: The card itself is faster than 980 SLI. Its 2x faster in VR (VR <---) Not everything it is not, I repeat not, twice as fast as the 980ti
