You can't update through the Nvidia control panel anymore?

defunkt

So.. You have to use Geforce Experience or do it manually? This seems a little silly. Any ideas why they've done this?

I think they are phasing the control panel out in favor of geforce experience personally I noticed that as well

Geforce Experience is so pointless though! It picks terrible graphics settings :(

I see this too, but for monitor configuration,l PhysX configuration, and Performance/Quality control is still implemented in the control panel.

I hope its not a problem, nvidia have had some weird software problems this year. It was great back in the day with my nvidia 6400gt which i had in a dell for like a week before it broke and i got a x1300 pro in return, i cant remember if that is better or worse. Then again i used to play only adventurequest then.

they will probably come in a later update of it or maybe they rename it something like the geforce panel cheesy but it might happen.

Not likely. Some non-GeForce branded cards utilize the configuration panel too, like Quadros in professional settings.

You don't have to use it then.  It's on my computer just to grab driver updates; I still set all my graphics settings manually.

Sure, it's extra clutter but...oh well.
