fan setup question

SHADY16

so currently i am using the corsair 200r with clear side window and have one intake in front and 2 exhaust back and top. my idea is to replace the front fan with a corsair SP120 performance and the top and back with corsair AF120s red led and add another AF120 on the top to make 1 intake to 3 exhaust and adding a fan controller to have the 3 exhaust at lower rpm then the fan in the front to hopefully balance them out any tips or advice?

Don't go for corsair fans as they have not the best performance. Depending on the budget I'd go for Silent Wings 2 fans or NF-F12 fans, and consider that Static Pressure (SP) fans are good for heatsinks and radiators, while Air Flow (AF) are for the case itself. Hope I helped!

is it possible to have two intakes atleast? 1:3 is very hard to balance

i recommend 2x 120mm at the front as intake and one at the rear as exhaust

and i recommend other fans than those corsair high performance fans, they're quite audible

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Corsair fans perform fine. Their Performance Edition fans perform better than SW2's or NF-F12's but are much louder.

It'd be easier to achieve balanced airflow by having two intakes and two exhausts but it's not that difficult to do it by lowering rpm's with 3 exhausts and 1 intake either.

The fans you've picked aren't that good unless you only care for the aesthetic and don't care about noise.

unfortunately this case only really can do one intake the other fan mount is on the bottom but thats where all my psu cables are and im afraid of the fan hitting the cables also it wouldnt provide as much airflow due to all the cabling in the way of it and the only other one is behind the drive bay. was a cheap 50dollar ish case lol

I meant the noise, not the performance... my bad :<

I personally would sacrifice 5 degrees more (performance fans) for silence (silent fans) but that's me

Use the bottom or other front mount, just make sure cables aren't being caught, airflow hindrance is a non issue, Luke did a video where he stuffed everything but the kitchen sink in a computer and it had...no effect on cooling, but it's far easier to balance air flow with 2 intakes and 2 exhaust than an off balance setup, easier still with same model fans

my other question is how much cooler will i run by just swapping out my current fans with the corsair ones?
