Posted May 1, 2016 Good Afternoon, So I was going through my cupboard and came across this old LCD I have had for a while. The reason for not using it, is because it isn't very bright, which I believe is from the shadowing. See attached I guess my question is, can this be fixed? Is should I just scrap it? I am not scared to pull it apart if indeed I can fix it, It is an Asus VW222U manufactured 2008 TYIA Aaron CPU: AMD R5-1600X @4.1 GHz/1.416v, GPU: EVGA GTX 1060 3gb, RAM: 2x8gb Crucial, Mobo: MSI B350 Pro Mate, CPU Cooler: Hyper 212 X, Case: Cooler Master Enforcer
 Posted May 1, 2016 I might be wrong, but it looks to me like it's just getting a bit old. Since it has fluorescent bulbs inside that light up the screen, it'll get dimmer over time. Usually after running a few minutes they get brighter as the bulbs warm up, but over the years they just get dimmer and dimmer, unfortunately. I have an old Acer monitor from around the same time and it's starting to have the same issues.
