No audio after taking out graphics card

There is no audio after I took out my graphics card.

go into windows sound settings and set your speakers as default output

so how are you connecting your monitor currently if you dont have a GPU?

where there's your problem, you need to hook up aux cable to your motherboard and to your monitor/speaker. or if you got a new video card, use hdmi.

It works over hdim worked befor I got the graphics card.

go to sound and right click and select playback devices. and turn on a video and select any of the things that have a green bar going up and down as its the one playing sound then set it as default playback device and you should be ready to go.

I only have 2 devices and neither of them work. How do I add my monitor as a device?

Uhh...HDMI will carry both audio and video output just fine from the onboard.

Well am not entirely sure. But it right click the playback devices like on the white and click show disabled devices/disconnected devices

That's what I'm saying. Because you are hooked up via DP or whatever, you will no longer be able to receive audio, because you were getting audio from HDMI

DP ? Whatcha talking about? I have a TV and my HDMI plays audio fine from the tv perfectly fine.

Maybe he just needs to turn up the volume on his monitor?
