I see, but having that temp for just that long shouldn't have damaged my GPU in any way that much, right?

it shouldnt, but there's a chance it will reduce the life span, sooo...

just dont worry bout it and make sure it never happens again :P

besides, your gpu should throttle itself if its dangerous

Hi, I have an AMD Radeon R9 380 Sapphire Nitro. It accidentally got to more than 95C+ because the fans did not start spinning for some reason. Might be because my AMD Radeon Settings conflicted with MSI Afterburner for some reason? I have a fan curve set on MSI Afterburner and it's working fine. It was just that one moment for whatever reason. So it stayed at that temp for like 15-25 mins. Is this okay as long as it does not happen again?

Modern GPUs have thermal throttling the same way modern CPUs do. It's fine. Also, GCN 1.2 cards on reference coolers are designed to run at a constant 95°C (looking at you hawaii) so you didn't even enter a danger zone.

I've had my r9 390 reach 90c several times and it is fine. And this happened when I was using msi afterburner for a custom fan curve. I would recommend not using a custom fan curve and just let the gpu fan spin itself up for itself
