Game SDK, thats a tough call. No idea. I would not be suprised if they are still working on it and for a long time. Takes time, just look at unreal engine, and then on top of that they have to reinvent everything basicly.

I know they have it listed on their website, but if you actually go there and look around you will realize that all of the buttons for things like "register interest" are broken.

Not even the link to their brochure works (goes to a page which says "page not found").

 

It's a scam. Stop shilling for a scam company.

you can read brochure if you go to Meixner Imaging page and i am pretty sure you could found them elsewhere as well

another multi-million dollar "scam" "snake oil" company amirite? meixnerimaging.com

 

you know, it would be absolutely hilarious if you said to me now that all theese big companies are popping out of nowhere just to support their massive global scam conspiracy.

 

 anyone who have 5 minutes, connection to internet and knows how to use google can find out that they are not scam.

Their brochure page returns a 404,  their "Register interest" button locks the web page. Can you please provide some proof cause I couldn't find anything.

 

If their technology actually works for architectural purposes, then good for them, but as far as I am concerned, anything game related from them is a big lie.

 

Edit: just checked their site again, I don't think it's been updated since 2013.

I'm sure you're just excited for their tech. ;)

 

First of all, Meixner Imaging seems sketchy as fuck too. The only info you will find about them is on their own website, and they don't really have any info about their products on there. You have to type in your name, email, phone number, country and a lot of other stuff to "request more information". I could not find any evidence that they are a multi-million company. They also seems to just link to a bunch of Euclideon stuff as well. It's not exactly common for a company to go "hey check out this other company that we are using technology from. Here are several pages on our website fully dedicated to them!".

 

But I actually went ahead and submitted a request for a demo (because we all know that totally legit companies requires you to submit a bunch of personal information to download a demo of their product) and wouldn't you know it, they just went "oh we will get back to you later".

 

By the way, I could not find anything related to Unlimited Details on that website. It was all just Geoverse.

@EUD They've been advertising this garbage for years and have done nothing to prove it's everything they claim. You'd think in 13 years you'd have a tech demo out that actually works, but no, they don't. 9_9

Causes 95~% usage on all cores on my 4.7Ghz 4790K while looking...not very impressive...

 

I got a 50MBps down and a 850 Evo, it still took 2 minute of sitting there doing nothing to make it look like something that came from PS2.

 

It does run, from what I can tell, 50-60 fps which is good I suppose.

 

980 Ti sitting at around 10% usage, so their rendering is heavily CPU intensive. If anything this is the best CPU based real time rendering I guess lol.

 

EDIT:

Just read through the reddit forum a bit more, potree apparantly also does point cloud and voxel based rendering, http://potree.org/wp/demo/ 

 

Their rendering seems much GPU dependent, uses waaaay less CPU, and honestly runs slightly better than the euclideon demo...

 

Although the potree demos has a lot less dots.

I wish them luck, it's not there yet and I don't think their claiming it is. Who knows, in five years time this could be the industry standard earning them a fortune that they pay that tax on.

You sound a lot like me haha! It's crazy all these people who just say scam and even say that their technology looks like crap. People who don't understand 3D graphics just don't understand the potential for Euclideon's tech. Their tech is definitely a work in progress but just because it doesn't look like the latest real-time 3D polygon graphics people go around saying its just crap and is fake shit. But people simply do not understand what it even is.

Another thing to keep in mind is that THREE people worked on the Euclideon game they showed on the video in about 2/3 months! And they aren't even artists!

Imagine, just imagine what real professional artists can do with this technology in a year!

sure, for some time they will coexist, maybe even merge in some games (it is possible), but at the end Euclideons tech will win. it must win.

it is superior I agree,

but unfortunately for us - the consumers, they don't want to open the technology and they don't want to license it either

they're like a dog on a pile of hay - talking about this great technology and vision of how it will change the landscape of gaming but they don't release any games and don't let other people release games with this tech.

 

I know they've announced a game for release very soon, but that looks like Dora the Explorer style of games - educational for five year olds - it's nothing like the unlimited detail island
