Dual i7/Xeon Processor Motherboard

Looking to build a PC using a motherboard that will allow me to install a beefy socket 2011 i7 processor today and swap out to dual xeon's tomorrow.  i looked into a few ASUS boards, but none are clear if they support a single i7.  i know that dual i7's aren't possible at least that was the case a few months ago when i did some research, i was just hoping that the bios could possibly disable one socket and support an i7 and then allow for an upgraded rig when i needed more power and cores.

I don't think that is possible because you would need a server board for dual xeon cpus and an i7 wouldn't work in it alone

Not sure if can put 2 i7's. That's only for Xeons.
