the P360 kit already comes with a 40mm radiator

so if you cant fit the radiator, buying the kit is a waste

you will just have a radiator lying around doing nothing

if you CAN use the radiator included in the kit then there is no reason for you to buy a second one

This is my first go at this, but here are my 2 options. Am I missing anything?

For the first one you will want 3/8"ID 5/8"OD as that is the tubing they use, but I would also recommend to go for that size(thick walled) for the second as it doesn't kink easily.

I would recommend the first, take out the extra rad, but there are some difference between the two as the second one is missing the fans, has a small res unit, the adapter bracket for the pump/res. Also the P360 kit comes with a clear bottle of fluid.

OK. I still might go with the second one to save $20 (ish). Plus I can easily make or buy distilled water, and I own antifreeze that is a good looking blue shade.

I also feel like the extra rad with the first one wouldnt be able to handle overclocks of both the CPU and the GPU. (What do you think? (I also heard that the new Polaris GPU's will be able to compete with a GTX 980 Ti for about half the price, so the TDP might be lower)

For fans I have 2 Noctua NF-F12's and the fans that came with my case.

With a 360mm rad it is very capable of both a CPU and GPU loop with overclocking, while still being quite silent. The P360 kit is great option but if you want to customize specific parts and components in the loop then going for parts individually is the best.

Just note that in most cases you will want a biocide included if your just using anti-freeze or straight distilled water.

I thought anti-freeze had a biocide in it

Depends some don't as it was quite evident in whole room watercooling with the growth issues.

One thing I would still recommend the thick walled tubing though if you do choose to piece it out youself as the thick stuff doesn't kink with very sharp bends.

ok. How do I tell if there is biocide?
