First time PC build, need outside opinion

why not skylake?

and an i5 will do if you're just gaming

and you'll want a beefier cooler if you wanna OC

other than that, seems fine

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

A 212 evo wont overclock well

If this pc is strictly for Gaming get an I5 6500

Skylake is a generation of processor if you like. Get a 6600k i5 instead of that needless i7.

Skylake is the current cpu lineup on the 'mainstream' platform.

If you are just gaming (No streaming/Video Editing/Rendering) then an i5 is fine.

ok so i have this now

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/nbRMGX

not sure if the power supply will work

also im not sure about overclocking at this time but what should i do for a cpu cooler

The CoolerMaster Evo will be ok and will still allow for a small overclock should you want to.

If you get a slightly cheaper board you can get a bigger SSD. A 120GB will fill up really fast.

The 750W version of the psu is actually cheaper after rebate, so you might as well get the bigger model. It is a good psu.

Changed the R9 390 to the MSI version for aesthetics as it is Red/Black. The Sapphire is a great card though if you are not fussed about the colour.
