Silent PSU for silent PC

RandyStack

Hi there,

I am looking for a not very noisy psu at a not very big price. Right now it is the noisiest thing in my case, so I would like to change that. My PC is not very powerful (Intel g2030, gtx 650), but I am looking to upgrade it in the future (probably an i5 and a gtx 970), so 400-500 Watts would be plenty enough.

Do you have any suggestions?

Corsair's RMi is very quiet as is EVGA's G2.

|PSU Tier List /80 Plus Efficiency| PSU stuff if you need it.

My system: PCPartPicker || For Corsair support tag @Corsair Josephor @Corsair Nick || My 5MT Legacy GT Wagon ||

Seasonic Platinum Fanless 420 watts. Not sure if it fits in your budget but it is very high quality, dead silent and it does not overheat despite it is passively cooled.

Mineral oil and 40 kg aluminium heat sinks are a perfect combination: 73 cores and a Titan X, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Oil

My suggestion is one of the Seasonic FL2s as well. Either the 460W or 520W, $110 and $120 respectively.
