I'm surprised they've faked it by enough for it to be an issue? Very few cars these days get anywhere near the claimed consumption figure, they are built for the tests and real world driving never coincides with the test conditions. Worse still IMO is that we're left with horrible gear ratios and throttle lag as a result of designing for the test.

 

From what I've read all they did was over-inflate the tyres? Hardly VW scale cheating. As penance for their sins though I feel they should build a new Evo.

For anyone curious on what the affected car model looks like. Some Nissan version that Mitsubooshi Mitsubishi made, but can't be found, so I used the Mitsubishi ones. Names are on the license plates.

Well, my Mum definitely has a reason to keep on slipping up in normal conversation and calling them "Mitsushitty" (loads of bad experiences with them, and she picked up the habit).
