PC wont turn on after new CPU

DanielB126

So, I have recently upgraded my CPU from AMD 4350 to an Intel I5 6600k, I have gotten a new motherboard, RAM, and a CPU cooler. Well, it's my first time installing a new motherboard so I am worried I could have made some mistakes or something because when I try to turn my computer on it does not turn on. Is there any popular errors people can make.

Try re seating RAM CPU and GPU and check the wattage for your components and see if your PSU has enough watts

Well there is one slot,  that is an 8 pin yet I only have a 4 pin, it's called  EATXV12

try booting up with just the basic components, cpu motherboard and one stick of ram, see if it does

if it doesnt then there's something wrong with one of them

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

You sure you got the CPU in right? The RAM in fully fitted into the slots? Is your CPU cooler fan spinning when attempted to boot?

for the 4 pin i would recommend getting a 4 pin to 8 pin adapter and compare and add up all the watts and see if they are enough watts to power all the components

from how your explaining it it sounds like your CPU needs an 8 pin 4 pin ist enough power

send me a picture of your build and your components
