remember to quote or mention the person you're replying to so they will get a notification :P

and that motherboard should work with the xeon no problem

its just a cpu like every other cpu `-`

just because its named xeon doesnt mean its for server

its like telling a guy named john that he should be in a boxing ring (john cena) `-`

can you give me a budget? ill try and build a rig thats suitable for you

desktop + monitor (probably only one)

ill probably come up with an i5, so it will hurt rendering time but gaming performance will not be affected

(or it'll improve, depending on your budget)

The problem is that this is an nVidia product and scoring any nVidia product a "zero" is also highly predictive of the number of nVidia products the reviewer will receive for review in the future.

I wasn't wrong. It's extremely rare that I am. I provided sources as well. Different devs can disagree. Further, we now have confirmed discrepancy from Twitter about he use of the pre-release 1080 driver in AMD's demo despite the release 1080 driver having been out a week prior.

You apparently haven't seen his responses to questions on YouTube. He is very condescending and aggressive in his comments with which there is little justification. He acts totally different in his videos. I don't necessarily care for this content style and there is nothing really unique about him or his channel. His endless dick jokes and toilet humor are annoying as well.

something like this

i5 6400 + r9 390

u will be playing games at 1080p with almost maxed settings, but video editing times will suffer slightly

you can remove the SSD for lower price, and maybe make the i5 to a 6500 for slightly better video editing experience, but i recommend an SSD regardless

my build is emphasized on gaming

so if you only render from time to time it'll do fine

there are a few things i would change about it

namely the motherboard chipset to a h170 to harness the full ram speed, which will aid in video rendering slightly

and maybe a bigger screen for eye pleasure

but both will increase the cost to about 1000

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately
