Game Recommendations

ContraHacker

Hey guys,

I am absolutely new to gaming, all I have is Minecraft, Terraria, Asphalt 8, GTA San Andreas and GTA ELFC that does not work. I have just made a gaming rig and I want a few game recommendations.

I have a core i3 6100 and a GTX 750Ti, Please introduce me to a few cheap or possibly free games. Or maybe a few must haves! :)

It depends on what you prefer.. I could suggest free MMO's all day long but if you prefer solo shooters it's not going to be of any help to you :)

Team fortress 2, dota 2, path of exile are very popular free titles.

Portal is a classic that can be had fairly cheap.

my work in progress

i5 6600k  //  16gb g.skill ddr4 3000  //  evga gtx 980

CS:GO is a great title. Super fun shooter, easy to learn - hard to master, has micro transactions THAT DONT AFFECT GAMEPLAY (purely cosmetic), and has a good community and a competitive aspect as well.

SMITE is a super fun third person MOBA, but doesn't feel much like a regular MOBA. It's free to play, has lots of characters, and is worth a try for anyone.

PAYDAY 2 can be bought for around $5 and probably cheaper on G2A, and it's a four person Co-Op shooter about crime and robbing stuff. SUPER fun game.

Honorable Mentions

- Team Fortress 2

- Space Impossible (amazing early access game)

- Bloons BTD5

- Town of Salem

- Ark: Survival Evolved

Game recommendation #1 - keep an eye on Humble Bundle.

Right now $6.50 on Humble Bundle gets you Tropico 5, Victor Vran, Chivalry, Brothers and a couple of other games. Chivalry I'd recommend, Tropico has its faults, but can be fun and the other 2 I haven't played, but they got good reviews.

Also don't buy full priced games in general unless you're too eager to wait. When Wargame: Red Dragon goes on sale, I'd certainly recommend that. The multiplayer scene is difficult to get into, but single player is fun enough and even just simply building various unit decks is fun by itself.

And as for free games, World of Warships and War Thunder are pretty good with Warships being more arcadey and War Thunder leaning more realistic.
