I have a lead on a Sapphire HD7970 Dual-X GPU for $100

Euagh420

Right now I'm trying to do a "Scrapyard Wars" style build. I lucked out in a MAJOR way and I have a lead on a Sapphire HD7970 Dual-X. I have a Q6600 that I picked up for $10, and I got an Antec 80+ Bronze 350W PSU for $10 (Before I had the lead on the 7970). I'm a little worried about the bottleneck between the Q6600 and the 7970 (I am planning on OCing the Q6600) and I was wondering If I should keep going? Am I going to find the rest of the parts I need?

You need a better power supply, for sure.

I'm not very comfortable with that 350W PSU. And you plan on overclocking, so it's a no go. 7970 for 100 is a steal though.

Hell yeah! Also do a build log, a proper one. With regular photos and stuff, it would be really cool to follow.

You need a better PSU.

But the card itself is great, I bought one in 2012 and I still don't need to change it, I can run any game I want perfectly.

100$ for the 7970 is a nice deal.

Overclocked the q6600 should give you over  30 fps even in demanding titles,

it definitely shows its age though. If your playing cpu intensive titles expect 40ish fps

if youd get 60 with an i5.
