I'm picking up some magnetic @CableMod LED strips. I have an H440 case, so how many LED strips do I need so that the light can cover the whole case?

Do I need 30cm or 60cm strips? And how many?

I'm not good at measurements and such, so help would be greatly appreciated :)

Here are the case dimensions if they're any help:

220mm x 513mm x 480mm

CPU: Intel i7-6700k - GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 FTW - Motherboard: Asus Z170-A - RAM: Vengeance LPX DDR4 16GB 3000MHz - CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro GTX H110i - PSU: EVGA SUPERNOVA 650W P2 - Case: NZXT H440 White/Black - OS: Windows 10 Home - Mouse: Logitech G502 - Keyboard: Corsair Strafe Cherry MX Red RGB

For even lighting two 30 cm strips work quite well either along the top or bottom or two sides, just be sure to not have a direct line of sight to the lights as they are quite bright but to instead have it cast the light out towards the components.

i light up my N450 (essentially a H440 on the inside) with just one strip of 30cm RGB LED strip on the top

because there's nowhere else to fit the second strip `-`

but it works fine though, the area under my gpu isnt that well lit but i guess nothing much is there except my ssd

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Does that mean that there won't be any place to fit the second strip on my H440?

get two 30cm strips

two are easier to place than one single 60, and brighter/more even lighting than one 30

there are spots to place them

at the top is the best spot since it wont be visible (though the side panel does reveal the bright spots of the LED due to its design but its fine)

the rear is blocked by the 140mm fan, unless you replace it with a 120mm for the small gap at the side to fit an led strip (never tested, but it should work)

the read 140mm fan is flush with the side panel so you pretty much cant place an led strip there with 140mm

the panel of the HDD cages have a straight line that you can fit the LED strip, but its visible from the side panel so its not ideal

the bottom of the case (front of the psu shroud) is just pointless if you put the led strip there, it wont light up anything lol

i dont like the idea of putting the LED strip on my side panel as i have to connect and reconnect it everytime i open the side panel so nah

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

So I'm thinking of:

1. 30cm strip on top.

2. 2x 30cm - rear.

3. 2x 30cm - right side of the case "(HDD cages side)

What do you think? :/

I see that you only put 1 LED strip on top.

yea, like i mentioned, only that spot made sense lol

i taped off to insulate the other connector for the 2nd strip because it shorted once and shut my system down ._.

Thanks.

I do have some LED fans so looks like I'll put a 30cm LED strip on the HDD cage and one on top.
