S7 edge capacitive buttons not working

kennnnnpohhhhh

The back button and the multitasking button doesn't work after I washed my phone with a little soap because I accidentally got fried chicken on my phone. Is there anything I can do to try to fix the buttons? Thanks alot for the help!

The Samsung s7 Edge has a IP68 rating

A little soap water on a cloth shouldn't harm the phone

But the buttons are part of the screen

Errrrr... It's more of running water under a tap with soap rather than a little soap water on a cloth..

LOL

Well, I used to do that with my HTC One M8. Too bad the S7 couldn't take it.

I'd recommend the rice method just to get rid of the little water that got through the seal. If that doesn't work, hopefully you didn't activate the water damage seal(probably not) and can get ti fixed under warranty or send it back to where you bought it.
